Hi all :D

First of all, many apologies if this is answered elsewhere, I've read loads in here (and learnt lots, thanks!), but not come across this in particular.

We're considering getting a new 500 1.2 Lounge for my wife :)

Sat Nav is a must have, and built in makes sense as its one less thing to worry about.
But that's where my questions start...:bang:

Being a retro kinda gal, my wife doesn't want or need, a smartphone - her old Nokia makes calls and gets texts, and she's more than happy with that :)

So.
The sat nav bit of uconnect SEEMS to need a smartphone in order to get live traffic updates
Unlike any other in built sat nav I've ever come across? (Like the one in my Juke Nismo - yes, we like quirky cars (y))

I get that maps updates need a data connection (and probably a USB stick or suchlike, but traffic updates!?)

Is this really the case?

Many thanks!

Hello, I have a 1.2 lounge with the Nav option. Yes, unfortunately the live services (traffic, weather, news etc) do require a data connection to your phone via bluetooth as will the phone hands free system. However, it doesn't need to be a smart phone per se, as long as it has a data connection available it will be fine.
