Anyone having trouble (in UK) with Live Traffic on their sat nav? Keeps saying

" Traffic information currently unavailable "

Is it signal problem or a Uconnect problem ?

This is on my 500x Lounge

This works via your mobile phone data plan. Make sure you have the latest version of Uconnect on your phone and your phone is paired correctly. For me I had to return to dealership to get software update for my car and only then it would work.
 
Thank you Skybar I think everything is paired and updated OK. It seems to be working intermittently. I will ring Fiat support again next week and book it in at my dealers. When you are used to the live updates on a stand alone Sat Nav you get used to it.

Has anyone else had their Live services just stop working, mine had been fine, now although phone paired etc I have no live services.
 
Mine has general been much better of late. It did through a wobbly today but come back on. My dealer did have a look and reinstalled the software but it still did it. They said that they were going to go to Fiat to see if it was a general problem. Not heard from them as yet. I do think it's a signal problem though rather than a fault with the sat nav. I do try to make sure that the 'map' has updated its self on sat nav start up screen before I enter the destination. By that I mean the opening map on sat nav not a general update. When it's updated some of the icons will change colour.

The dealer has heard back from Fiat. They are going to run various tests on the whole sound system. So going in on Wednesday. Will let you know the result. Mine stopped working after about half an hour into a 200 mile journey yesterday and not worked since btw.
 
This is strange, I raised an incident with Fiat direct, while I was waiting for them to respond I repaired my phone and the live service came back on, then they stopped again after 1/2 hour drive. Before this the Fiat u connect support team came back to me and confirmed their end all my service were live. Something is going on, mine has worked fine for the last 4 months now stopped

I am going to ring my dealership in the morning to ask if they are aware of issues.
 
Well they are aware NT. So we will see what they say. Ok to work via phone but that would mean that unless you have a signal then it don't work. The Sat Nav should work without a phone the ordinary Tom Tom sat nav's do which have the live updates. To me the use of the mobile should be for the readings on UC.
 
Well after having the 500x three years I have finally got the live update to work. I finally gave up on trying it and being back at the dealers I managed to sort it out myself. I found that to have the live update to work I have to have the Uconnect App open on the phone. Works s treat now
