Fitted a CN the other day, from what I have read on here it's turning off after 20 mins due to not having a switched live to it. When I get around to wiring it up correctly will this lead to the nav unit being able to save various options like time setting, language and other things it just forgets?

If the ignition is not switched on, or you don't have the ignition switched supply, it will always switch off after 20 minutes.

Once the ignition switched supply is connected, you can also set it to either switch off with the ignition, or stay on after the ignition is switched off by using the "SETUP", then selecting "CONNECT", then the "Power OFF" button.

When you connect the ignition switched supply and turn the ignition on, the CN may ask for the master code.

I thought the time setting only needed the permanent live supply, but may be wrong. Trip data requires the ignition to be switched on.
