Hi 1st post, so be gentle just wondered if any of you could shed some light on whether or not I should have a tom tom live 2 with my techno pack on our new Panda Easy? According to the broshure it states tom tom 2 live, along with blue and me, steering wheel controls, USB/ aux input. So I should get it , but according to the dealer I should only get the indash mount for it and have to pay extra for the actual tom tom. I've asked Fiat themselves. They are looking into it, but no answer yet. Any ideas fellas.?

I thought it came with the techno pack as standard?

I was in my dealers the other day where my friend the sales manager was asking a colleague about a new panda parked outside. He was asking what options were on it whilst he was working out the figures.
They said techno pack and he said 'right, we need to get a tomtom for it then'

I suppose they are including it there??

Welcome to the forum btw. :)

Take a look in the 2012 Panda section. There's a few new owners there who may have more answers than me

You don't have a thread in the Panda section...

But I see one in Blue&Me, I will move that across to the other section to see if it gets a response.

Remember, this is a new car for all of us :)

Welcome to the forum Bigphil33.

Suggest getting the in dash mount in so that you have the option to decide later if you want the Blue Tom Tom Live 2 sat nav. Hopefully it will be a free option - it's called the 68R option on the 500 and it is just a plug in charge port. I don't know enough about the Techno pack and the pricing structure on the Panda 2012.

The Blue & Me Tom Tom Live Sat Nav is based on a now discontinued Tom Tom GO LIVE 1000 model which was customised for the Blue & Me that is in the Fiat / Alfa range. The initial attempt at doing it wasn't up to much but then they upgraded the model later adding LIVE (traffic updates) with the no. 2 to differentiate it and make the interface a bit smarter & bigger with a re-active touch screen.

Bottom line is if you want the Media stuff i.e. the music up on the screen them definitely go for it. If not as pointed out on another thread by a member on here ;) - he was not too enamoured with it whilst I like it but am now considering another option of 'stick on the windscreen' option. The newer Sat Navs are being designed as portable devices that you can carry in your pocket like a smartphone and the interface work in either portrait or landscape mode.

Discussion thread on the 500 with a few snap shots...

Someone trying a cheapie route but still using the cradle to go in the plug in - this should have worked (I think)

This listed the B&Me TT 2 @ £250 last week but has now gone up  – there is another one up there cheaper unopened.;)

Every single website i've looked at stats '£400 Techno pack, which includes the Tom-tom unit so that said yes you should get the Tomtom with the pack. £400 is a lot of money to pay otherwise for some steering wheel buttons

Who have you spoken to at Fiat? in your position I would reject the car on the grounds they misrepresented the option in the brochure that or you want your £400 back.

also name and shame the dealer!!

Cheers
for all comments, well both fiat and the dealer called to say it should be with the car. It turns out another dealer had ordered the car but we intercepted it before they could get it but it ment their parts dept. got the order for a Tom Tom. So we have to wait till it gets to that dealer and then sent on to us. What a farse eh? Dealer had a cheek to ask that we give them 10/10 on the customer satisfaction survey when it comes. :(
