I wonder if I can run this problem by you electrical bright-sparks.

I run a company car using an independant PDA/ SAT-NAV. On selecting call address I found that it very often "freezes", and in re-booting system means that it sticks on Tom-Tom , therefore making it redundant for rest of the day.

Funny thing is , its only happening to me , in my own car. Recently changed to a pool car , and so far, (touch-wood that is), no ill effects. Other staff have used my PDA units in their own company cars, again no ill effects.

1. When info is loading onto PDA in my own car, the fuse box sounds like a bunch of scalded hornets !!.

2. Also when my own hand held mobile phone receives call or message, the fuse box, again sounds the same (eh!!)

Despite having ,one presumes consistant electrical supply ,- changed power leads, 12V cigar lighter connector, to make sure- is there any way a electrical gremlin can actually effect the sat signal and cause it to freeze in this way?
