| Re: Navman n40i Won't Adhere!!! ...It's definately the factory-supplied suction cup that's at fault; just tried a small Street Pilot mount and it sticks fast, even to the far right of the steering wheel. The original suction cup is just way too wide and has very little suction. Trouble is, the ball is slighlty larger and won't seat properly in the n40i socket, otherwise this would have been perfect. It holds the weight of the n40i well, so what I need is a small surface area clamped cup... Frank

| Re: Navman n40i Won't Adhere!!! Another cause can be grease on the windscreen. Happens with time. Get some newspapers and distilled transparent vinegar (or transparent window cleaner), clean the windscreen and the suction cup, try again. Don't forget to ventilate the car afterwards thoroughly as vinegar stinks lol

| Re: Navman n40i Won't Adhere!!! Just remembered, warm water & lemon juice works just as good as vinegar, and smells far better.

| *custom name* | Re: Navman n40i Won't Adhere!!! that just a flat bit of plastic that imitates a windscreen for cars or vans wer the windscreen is too far away so they suck to that instead. you can copy this by using a coaster of something of that nature i own a garmin but quite like tom toms ability of map corrections which i wish mine could do
