n95 and tom tom

just got n95 8gb dont want to pay for nokia maps can i put on tom tom has anyone done it and does it work ok thanks

But you would have to buy Tom-Tom software and a GPS receiver (don't know if TomTom works with the internal receiver) anyway, so a bit of a moot point, you'd be as well with the (rather excellent) Nokia voice navigtaion. You can download the maps free from their website by the way.

i have tom tom working on my n95 i use external receiver the internal one is suppose to be crap

Much better post-firmware upgrade, I now have indoor signals and when outdoors, picks up in seconds

Tele Atlas has brought out a Nokia N95 compatable map data base. I think they're about 75 quid or so.

from memory im pretty sure nokia use route 66 as their map database and this is a different satellite company as to what tom tom's use so cant imagine it will be compatible without having a third party application running it

mine still doesnt, it left me wondering around tipton completely lost!
