| Re: which one? Been thinking of getting a sat nav for a while now, and with holiday coming up in couple of weeks (Penzance area) i'll take the plunge. Brother has got a tomtom and loves it, but having read posts here and elsewhere Im pretty sold on the Garmin nuvi 200w.

| Re: which one? Been using TT One V2 Europe for about 14 months now and updated to 'MapShare' mapping now. Use traffic via V635 on Bluetooth connection. Works well and subscription bundle on traffic & speed cameras only 35 quid on line for 12 months. TT One v3 now with plug in traffic receiver which will leave your blue tooth free for headset for making and receiving phone calls

| Re: which one? ANYthing GARMIN are the best. At halfords we get back mainly TomToms which crash often and need updating more ofen. Anything Else is either quite slow or bad customer services and parts.

| *custom name* | Re: which one? tom tom v2 stuff was very poor, i think i only sold one in over a year (awkward customer, whos laughing now ) but the new v3 stuff is really impressive, i like them a lot, lot more functional than garmins and map editings is a big advantagegarmin kinda speaks for itself though, they just produce good quality sat navs without all the dopey extra features, but in terms of price comparison, tom tom is hard to beat at the minute

| Re: which one? Garmin nuvi 200 wide screen one is £140 thats a bargin. Battery life is around 5 hours and tomtoms is 2 hours. TomToms new v3 range is better and they aRE improving

| *custom name* | Re: which one? yea the widescreen nuvis are a great range, though 5 hour battery life is massive, generaly they last 3 r 4 hours so well done! register with garmin and see if theres any updates, always a good idea as it hasnt been updated since it was built which is likely to be quite a while ago, also make sure youve the 2008 maps, if not you will get it for free go 2 settings > system > map > about and it should say there
