Description
The time has come to bid Claudia goodbye! Hi, Fiat brethren, you don't know me round these parts but I am a long-standing (and upstanding!) member of alfaowner.com - check my profile there out if you wish (VO2Max). I hope you don't mind me posting this here, even if you don't want to buy her, I feel sure you will appreciate a thing of beauty - cheers!

She is a gorgeous looking car in beautiful condition. She has only been owned by me and well looked after. Always fully synthetic oil used and never supermarket fuel. Her bodywork looks fantastic, immaculate with no dings or dents anywhere and just a very few tiny stone chips.

Main Dealer and Specialist (Jamie Porter) history with schedule adhered to, including cambelts/variator every 36,000 and platinum plugs at 60,000.

90,000 trouble-free miles, with the amazing Selespeed gearbox a standard 5-spd box and clutch, robotically controlled, no clutch pedal. Change gear using small gearstick (back and forth) or by pushbuttons on steering wheel. Or leave her in 'City' auto-mode if you wish.

Engine is the classic 2.0 litre 16V Alfa Twinspark which is smooth and rorty, with a lovely note. The interior is virtually as new, with dark grey Momo leather and the beautifully designed 156 cockpit with carbon fibre-effect dash. Alfa CD/radio headunit included as are Alpine upgrade speakers front & rear - much better than originals!

17" alloys in great condition shod with Avon ZZ3 tyres, only half-worn. Rhoddy Harvey-Bailey handling kit fitted by me, with shocks and springs - great handling and steering feel. Loads left on Mintex pads and discs, not even half-worn, both front and rear. Good brake feel and response.

Everything works, all electricals, Climate Control, electric windows, the works. A sporty drive in luxury surroundings, with awesome looks! 6 mths Tax and MOT, HPI-clear.

£2000 to someone from Fiat Forum.com, she's up for £2200 on Pistonheads and Autotrader! I know the market is dead right now but she is a bargain, you won't believe what great condition she's in until you've seen her.

Gissa bell on 07984 906942 if you wish.

Cheers, Max.

wow i didnt expect to see you on here! loads of people graduate from a fiat to an alfa so its always worthwhile posting on here.

i sold my 156 about 6 weeks ago now, and i've been looking for another ever since. i really want a facelift diesel this time, but i'm getting desperate so who knows i may give in and get an earlier petrol again (not a sele though sorry)

i remember your thread about the 1.9JTD 140bhp vs 150bhp a few months ago. i guess you got a facelift 1.9JTD in the end?

good luck selling the sele mate. it's got to be worth £2000. if it was a manual i'd be very tempted because i know you're a great person to buy a car off.

fingers crossed i'll be back on alfaowner soon

Hi Jug, thanks for the kind words.

Just got a 1.9JTD Sport and had her remapped to 280bhp and 245ft-lbs torque. See the thread about the remap day. She flies - DO IT!!!

Cheers feller, Clive.
