Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Hallo, here's an pic of my Ritmo's cockpit. It was cracked because of the sun, years etc... so I retrimmed it with eco-leather.I also (with a big help from my friend) managed to put 'ABARTH' letters in front of the glow department...

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Hi Domo, I love the quality of your interior. It looks superb AND tasteful! I raced a strda 130tc a few years ago, and miss the torque and power of the twincam. Have you heard of Jupiter Racing Technology in Marcedonia? They specialise in the single cam fiat/yugo range really, but may be able to help with uprated brakes etc to fit your ritmo. Car looks fantastic mate!!

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Thanks Uno, I'm trying to do the best of my Ritmo. It realy is powefull
I didn't managed to drive it after the machine was rebuilt because carbs are still not tuned. But I think it will eat the road.
I didn't hear about that Macedonians. It is about 800 km from Zagreb to Macedonia. From the other hand Italy is about 250 km from Zg, so I'm going there for spare parts etc. Also we have here some great specialists for engines, tuning... but I'm doing it all with a few of my friends, and we're better every day
Now I'm trying to find front brake calliper, nobody seems to have it anymore
regards

Looks like built up letters using foam/seat padding, covered in an adhesive then the leather put over the top. I tried something similar with an old vinyl covered chair but wring material for it really. leather is good for it though.

Beautiful cars though. You must be very proud of your work so far. Good luck with the Tipo, what plans do you have for it?

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Hallo guys,
That ABARTH detail is made in this way: First ripp off the old material from the console.Under that is some kind of a spounge foam.It has to be cleaned and brushed. I cutted the letters from thick leather (the same that was used for retrimming the seats) and glued them on the console. After that I retrimmed it with thinner black eco-leather. I have a few photos of that while it was being done. I'll post them a bit later.
I'm trying now to finish Ritmo and then I'll start working on Tipo.
I'll respray it in metallic blue (does anybody have the code numbers of that colour, it is called Como blue), I'm waiting now for the Sedici skirts, need also rear Sedici lamps, maybe I'll put Sparco rear spoiler, wheels will be OZ Superturismo 15', Supersprint exhaust, Sparco pedals, and everything inside will be retrimmed in beige leather.I won't do anything on the machine, 'cause it will be a car for everyday use.

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Love your collection of fiats But with your tipo, you're going to run out of parking space, surely you cant leave the otehr cars outside like that? or is the area you live in trust-worthy? Saying that there probably wudnt be any problem with them being parked outside here

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Yes I have some problems with the parking because I have only one garage.
The other one is my uncle's.
I also had an Uno, but I sold it because of the lack of parking space.
It is not a problem here that somebody could damage or steal the cars, I'm more worried with the heat, sun, rain, snow and that sort of things, so I'm planing to build one more garage.
Ritmo just can't be outside of the garage anymore because it will rust very quickly even thought it was restored completely....
