Ahhhh links died, was looking forward to seeing that for a laugh!

It was a master piece of a kind and very unique.

I saw the original link but would love to see it again if there are any photos. Someone must own it now and perhaps they read this forum?

I guess there is a lot of slating on this site so maybe they won't post.

there shouldn't be. threads like that normally get locked or deleted. this one must have been missed

It was Lime Metallic Green with Max Power bumpers & 18" American style Chrome rims.

Considering it's now such a rare car it made me angry to see one modified in such poor taste like some chav would do his 1.1l Saxo.

what makes one man cry makes another man smile, there are sites on the internet that are there just for people to post cars they dont like and slag off the owners, FF isnt one of them sites,
take classic panda section for example some think they should all be restored as original others stick mad engine conversions in them, but they all get along fine:)

I've owned 6 or 7 Panda's and can understand why people would improve them by putting bigger engines in them or even paint them in lairy colours as they are fun cheap cars in plentiful supply by comparison.

But to chav up a rare car that's now in short supply in this country is wrong imo and i felt needed to be pointed out to other strada owners. The owner of that car did nothing to improve that car in any way.

To try and compare what the Panda boys/girls do to modify their cars (engine swaps) and what was done to that Strada Abarth (lime green metallic paint/Big bumpers/18" American Chrome alloys) was a weak effort.

I'm with Tayto on this one.

Fiat produced the 105TC, 125TC and ultimately the 130TC to functional, performance and acceptable.

The 105TC did not quite hit the performance mark (single choke carb vs Golf fuel injection) but this was fixed and totally put to bed with the 130TC.

The only Chaving all of these cars had was the rear boot spoiler. (127GT had a roof spoiler by comparison).

What I'm not sure people realy understand is that the 130TC, and in later times the genuine 500 Abarth, and all the Abarth perdecessors are such special cars that chaving them up is IMHO not right. Bit like buying a Rembrant painting and chaving it up with some after production brush strokes.

I'm not going to focus on Abarth either. How about a Chaved up Lotus Cortina or Lotus Sunbeam, Renault Gordini and other well respect "classic" and stunning cars. They were all very few and far between and you won't find many if any "Chaved" examples.

I fancy Chaving up my Croma. Let me see..... Abarth Scorpions, Italian 3D flags, 24 inch wheels, spacers, snoop nose and whale tail fin.

The whale tail fin will help me push it home when the cars body computer decides to termainate all services due to owner abuse!

Smile!

I do understand the above opinions. I really like my 1985 Strada and will be keeping it's appearance standard. I wouldn't call it beautiful but I do like the styling, looks of it's time I think.

But I am still curious, someone must own this car??

Did you restore it to it's former glory or did you keep it as it is?? Curious to know. Not going to judge. Everyone else has had their say so don't be scared!!
