Hi all.

Our (bright orange ) Qubo has an issue. It's a 1.3 Diesel 2010.
When I push the aircon button on, it sounds like another fan has started but it's a noisy fan. Also when driving, upon releasing the gas to change gear, there's a kind of rasp, like a metalic plate vibrating (kinda). No aircon, no noises. Wierd eh!?
When I bought it the dealer said it sounded normal and was a characteristic! I had just got it delivered back for other faults (hill holder & reverse lights) and wasn't in a postition to drive it back for an hour to disagree.
By the way the turbo whistle is another characteristic!

Anyway, anyone else had this air-con issue? Easy fix?

FYI: The Hill Holder Not Available warning was the Brake Switch.
No reverse lights (both) was a switch by the gear leaver I was told.

Hi i also have a 2010 mjd,the air con commpressor's are noisy. Turning on the aircon will bring on the cooling fan every 10 seconds or so. Also if your system is low on gas it will make it noisier as the refrigerant in the system has a lubricant in it. Hope this helps

Thanks for that info. I'll see what an aircon specialist says in regards to the compressor when i get it regassed as it isn't ice cold.
