hi everyone,i have just gotten a 2012 Qubo diesel, since driving it i have noticed it is gutless once you have decelerated,my main concern is as i live in crete it is very mountainous so as you come round a corner and let off power you go to accelerate and it just sits like a stubborn donkey no power at all, i have to drop down the gearbox and rev its tates off!! i have looked at turbo pipes, egr, and actuator, and all seem to be working fine air filter is clean, any ideas??? or is this synonymous with this model?

Hi there and welcome. The Qubo is really built for economy and space. I've said a few times in the forum that it's no pocket rocket. It's 0-60 mph is quoted as 18 secs, so I think it says it all. The Qubo is a love it or hate it car.
It's possible that you will get use to it.

it just sits like a stubborn donkey

The only other thing I can think of is that the EGR valve needs cleaning inside or replacing. A choked up EGR can cause sluggishness on acceleration. It can also cause the car to throw black smoke out from time to time.

Of course, you could always trade it in for a donkey ... A donkey has no sensors, no EGR valve. Apart from steel shoes and the occasional carrot they're actually very reliable..

Hi voulgaroman,

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Qubist/Fiorinoist, any questions, just pop them on here, one of us will try and answer....
Just a matter of getting used to the Qubos 'unique driving experience'.....haha. Just drop it a gear, like you are doing, and away it goes................enjoy.

Qube O.
