My Qubo only had one key when I got it. I asked the Fiat dealer for the cost of a second standard key £268 wow.The AA also quoted almost the same. After some searching found a company in Telford who produced a key for £75, it unlocks the doors and starts and runs the car.Well worth knowing, thought I would let fellow forum users know.

A place close to me 'Hydes Key Locker, in Hednesford, Cannock. Phone No 01543 422936.
Helpful fella, about the same price, and again motor needed to pair the key......
Cheers Qube O.

Timpsons can clone keys apparently I need one for both the car and Van. They need to access the vehicle obviously and he quoted something around 70 if I recall. Convenient for me to try my local one, just not got round to it.

Hi fellas , I might have a solution to your key programming, so you can do it yourself and save a bundle.

I really haven't got a clue on how to use it, I haven't tried it.
Here is a link to YouTube, someone using a software called cryptowork to add a second key

Which company was it ?

Hi, Zeewulf. I's company called Auto-Recode part off EAC Telford, TF74PL. You have to take the car to them or I think they will come out to you if not too far. It took about 20 mins to get it done.

I also need a second key. My SH Qubo only came with the remote key. Does anyone know how much it would cost to get a second remote key? Or who the forumer is down south (I'm in S wales but may be heading down in the summer). I email a few local auto locksmiths, no replies..

hi,:)

Minirib is on the south coast - ( Hastings..??)

I believe IF you get a working 2nd key cut, then Burrowsdeano could probably code it to the car,
he's Winchester / Southampton way.

says £795 for the hardware..
you'd need to do a few to justify that..!!

Cryptowork was part of Nasratech the company is now pretty much defunct. No support and plenty of owners ended up with dead equipment (including myself)
The only BCM reading it covered was the Delphi units used in the mk2 Punto and the early Marelli units on the Stilo and Doblo. It gives you the dump file from the BCM but you still need other tools to make use of this information and actually program the key.
The Qubo has a different BCM its the same unit used in the Fiat 500 and Grande Punto. There are tools that can read and match remote keys to these units but Cryptowork isn't one of them. Although if you just want a non remote spare key they can easily be cloned.
If your wanting to make remote keys then your talking relatively serious amounts of money in equipment. I personally have and use Zed-Full or AVDI to make spare remotes on these cars or if the keys are lost the BCM can lock meaning you have no communication by OBD in which case I use TMpro to add a new key directly to the cars memory.
