Am on the verge of going to Blackburn Motorpark tomorrow to order a 2012 Qubo manual diesel Mylife with 15000 on the clock which is ex Motability.
Its going to be around £5K plus the 58 Panda.

Considering its minor niggles - any final advice. I'd go for the Doblo but other family members will drive it and they have already scraped the Panda going into the drive so they will struggle with the Doblo.

Had the Panda since new for 7 years and never missed a beat just a new exhaust backbox.

Thanks.

MSW Do you have one - can't quite see the picture on my old laptop?

Anything to consider? Whats this mapping thing I see talked about.

Thanks

Yes - go for it - far nicer than the Doblo (Qubo on steroids - entering the 'fugly' bracket with the too-high-windscreen and too-long-bonnet...) :)

If you've been considering a Doblo, you may find the Qubo tight on space if that was one of your main motivators for the Doblo. Check it out carefully.

I've had a Mk1 Doblo 1.9JTD, then a Bipper 1.4HDi and now a 2012 Qubo MyLife 1.3Mjet dualogic. The Doblo was massively more capacious in the back, and the newer one appears even more so.

I cannot fault either my Bipper or Qubo for reliability- but the performance ( no longer of great concern to me) is not outstanding- and I find the seat bases rather narrow, but then I'm 6'2" and 115kgs, so not a little fella!! I found the seams of the Bipper seat piping a little uncomfortable on long journeys, likewise the sides of the seat squab on my Qubo-- but, as I say, really only of mention on long journeys, and related probably to my dimensions.I also don't think the cloth of the seats is terribly hardwearing, and I found out the hard way that if you dont slide the front seats right forward when folding the rear seats, they will catch the cloth on the rear of the backseat by the head restraints, which seems easily marked.

On balance, I'd say get a Qubo. As a guide on price, I bought mine 18 months ago from FIAT main dealer Sturgess of Leicester, with less than 10k miles, for £9000- no idea of the value of your Panda, but it gives you a ballpark figure to work around.

Don't know how to do the thanks thing properly but many thanks for all the input - I'm convinced particularly since there is no real negative stuff......and Blackburn seem like a good dealership too

To say 'thanks' just click on the little smiley face (lower right by the thumbs up/down icons) on the message you wish to thank for :)

Was offered a petrol or a diesel couldn't make up my mind as I'm very low mileage.....4-5000 per year.

Any thoughts, thanks.

Beware the diesel, it will have the dreaded DPF, which can cause a whole heap of problems, depending on how you use the car. Mines a diesel, but without the DPF, and is great. Apart from that, petrol.
Check on here for DPF problems, plenty of posts............

Unless a significant part of that mileage is journeys over 30 minutes to allow the DPF to regenerate, buy the petrol. Unless you haven had a diesel vehicle before, and liked it, I'd stick with petrol. The fuel cost saving is small on that annual mileage, so stick with what you know.

I don't own a Qubo so I can't comment on the reliability of the car but I do really like the looks and the practicability of the Qubo. I thought of buying one as my next car but I'm not quite sure of it since the platform is a little aged now and I'm not buying a car in the next two years at least.

He just sent me all the options as he wasn't available today......what do you reckon? I'd go for the top one but I not keen on the colour.

Finally went for this one got it a bit cheaper than the £7500 advertised was holding out for a better colour but none came along - would have liked an orange one.

I get it in about a week - thanks for all the help again

Glad you chose one.I hope you'll be pleased with it.

Let's see some pics when it arrives, as you don't appear to have posted a valid link? I looked on the Motor Park site after your previous post, but there were few pics of the Qubos they listed, and those that were there were generally generic pics.

I don't think I've seen a grey one. When I bought mine, I briefly considered a green one, and REALLY fancied the orange too- I've always wanted an orange Barchetta- but in the end, despite an orange Qubo being available elsewhere, I stuck with white, fearing I might go off driving around in a tango'd vehicle after a while............. Yet, I saw an orange one in Spain recently, and it made me briefly hanker after one again!
