My Qubo is in for a full service to day, at my local Fiat Main Dealer. Will be interesting to see how it goes as the staff who were there have now moved on to bigger things. These staff were 110% on all things to do with Fiat........so now we wait to see how it goes.
When I booked it in last week, they checked back on its service record, last service 2 years ago, and oil change last year, and have offered me a full service, same as in 2013, at the price I paid in 2013..........good start.
Will post how things went tomorrow........
Cheers Qube O.:):)

Hope it all went well?

I just brought my 2012 1.3Mjet MyLife Dualogic back to UK for it's first MOT,due this week,- it's been in France for the past 18months,with no problems, just a set of new tyres at 14k miles

It was collected this morning by the garage owner, and returned this evening. Though the car has now covered just 19,100 miles, it was given an interim service (18k equivalent) at 9000 when I bought it. So I had a major 40k service done on it today, so it is ahead of schedule on the servicing,as I'm returning it to France and will be putting it on French reg now the warranty has ended.

It sailed thru the MOT,with no advisories, and I also had minor kerbing damage on the F/N/S alloy repaired- it was present when I got the car.

I was shocked at the cost of a UK MOT- £54 now- but the whole bill for MOT,major service, alloy repair, plus collection and delivery back to me was £395, which I'm pretty happy with.................

Incidentally, I don't know why, unless it's just that the car is finally "run in"- I did a 3000 miles round trip to spend Jan&Feb in Southern Spain, and 700 miles back to UK for this service- but the consumption has recently got really MUCH better.

As I'm early retired,I'm in the fortunate position of not having to rush everywhere. So on Sunday, I did the 450 miles to Calais via N&D roads, sticking to 50/55mph, except thru towns and cities, enjoying the scenery and the leisurely trip. The Qubo returned 62.8mpg for an average speed of 42mph.

On Monday, I travelled M20/M25/M11 then A&B roads thru Lincolnshire, so I was at times at 70mph on motorways and averaged 46mph for the 230 mile journey, and got an mpg of 60.4 for the trip in UK.

All in all,I'm pleased with the car now there has been no problems and I'm getting good consumption- especially at 1.15euro (about £0.84p) per litre for diesel!!

OK folks, Full service at my local main dealer. Parts replaced, oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter.............brakes checked and will need replacing in the not to distant future, they have done 30 odd thousand mile, thats pads and discs. Car washed, and all the normal checks, ie antifreeze, tyre pressure, battery.........etc. Plus updates installed into the computer system, which seems to improve the 1st to 2nd gear change. Total cost £209, inc parts, labour and vat.

Great! Am often amused by the brake wear checks though, more than one car of mine had 2/3 worn brakes for 2 or three years according to the same dealer (them seeing the cars for mot and services) :)

I thought £209 was a good price, seeing as all the parts were genuine, and even the oil is the correct as spec'd, and not a same as substitute. Thing is, if I encounter problems I have a come back both with the dealer and Fiat......and don't forget 20% of the bill was the blasted vat..........

Bye the bye, the gear change is drastically improved, it was a system update apparently, the change from 1st to 2nd used to take maybe 3-4 seconds, now its less than half of that, makes pulling away a whole heap better.

Cheers Qube O.
