If you go to Halfords by a repair glass it sticks on the broken glass you cannot see the broken one when it is fitted
I think you will find fiat will only sell you the complete unit.

Agreed the halfords ones work well, apart from the heated mirror cannot work for obvious reasons ( stuck on mirror to thick to allow sufficient heat transfer).

Get a new mirror, I purchased a wide angle one off Ebay a couple of years ago, and purchase a rear mirror fitting backplate, universal seems o.k.
Complete breaking of damaged mirror, them you will see where the retaining clips holds the mirror to the backplate. Clip it off, remove power cables. and reverse to fit new mirror and backplate.
Took me about 20 min..............

you can get them off ebay with the back plate around £13
