Hi, I've got a smashed front OS fog light, is it an easy job to replace and can anyone advise the best way? I can see replacements are available online.

Thanks

I took the headlight out to change the fog light bulb
I think the light is held in with 3 screws

Some time ago a guy on here from foreign climes (Malta I think) showed his red Fiorino which had these fogs on it and he'd painted the lenses with 'fog-lamp yellow' and they looked good against the paint colour.
In the UK, fog lights always used to be yellow and it cuts through the fog better than white light - would it be illegal to paint them yellow now?
I seem to remember you had to paint headlamp glass yellow when you went abroad plus fitting the dipped lights blanking blackouts to avoid dazzling foreign drivers. We did it on our Renault 4L in 1964 before the family drove to Southampton, crossed to Bilbao and drove across the French Alps to Spain (3 speed g/box!!)

Seems today that dazzling oncoming drivers with misaligned lights is standard on a lot of modern cars. Also what's the problem waiting half a second longer before putting the full beam on again as you pass another motorist? Grrr..:(

I'm struggling to get my fog light unit changed, how does the headlight come out? I took two obvious screws out but could only wiggle the head light and it felt fixed in still. I can't find any photos of the headlamp underneath to get an idea of any other fixings.

Seems very hard to get access to the fog lamp!

you have to get the bumper off to get the headlight out as there is a bolt under the bumper it was left out on mine
the best way to get the fog light out
is there is 5 screws 2 in front of the wheel under the wheel arch and 3 under the front of the bumper get them out and the plastic wheel arch can be pulled back to get at the fog light there is also a 10mm plastic nut that needs to be got off
you may need to jack up the car

Thanks, really useful reply. So that avoids taking the bumper off? I'll get it jacked up and probably take the wheel off for a bit better access too.
