Recently bought the wife a 2010 Qubo Trekking 75bhp, seems a great little car but has developed an intermittent EML light on, starts and goes fine until accelerate a bit harder to speed up at around 2,500 rpm, EML light on and into LImp mode  On another day can start it and no light, fine when driving slowly, crusing speed etc then comes again when accelerating to speed up ie on slip road etc :bang::cry:

Into diagnostic garage this morning has fault code P0234 Boost Pressure signal compare faulty. Apparently this could be either the boost sensor, the dreaded EGR valve or even the turbo vanes themselves not opening and closing???? Garage also said might be wiring between even or combination of, anyone else had this fault/know poss solution?? Thanks in advance for any help :worship:

there are quite a few things that could cause the error code, in most cases the culprit is a split hose coming from or going to the turbo. first off check all the hoses, make sure they are on tight and not leaking.

Hi Captain
Had this same fault for 4 years on my previous Panda. Found turning ignition key on and off 3 times cleared it, that is, until the next time you boot it.
There are many reports/instances on the Panda forums and most seem to agree it's the EGR getting clogged up. Even photos on some of the posts.
Been wondering if I will eventually end up with same problem on my Qubo, so tend to try and get in some hard driving when possible, just to keep the gunk at bay.

My last company car had an EGR failure. Soda assist and the RAC commented that 70mph, 6th gear keeps the rpm below 2000 rpm.

They advised a 20min drive in 5th gear once a month to heat up and burn off the gunk with the higher rpm.
