| M111 CYY  | Petrol cap just been fiddling with me petrol cap today (was bored) and found it doesnt actually lock, just screws, has anyone else had this problem? its the origional petrol cap, i think anyway.

| Re: Petrol cap ive had this problem before, what u will have to do is get urself to a fiat garage and buy a new cap about £15, but the only problem is, is getting your old locking barrel out and putting it in the new cap, you will have to cut open your old cap, and some were on the barrel there is an E clip u have to remove.

| Banned  | Re: Petrol cap The locking petrol cap is an easy fix guys!! Go to fiat and buy a new black one. Dismantle the old cap by snapping the clip and take out the barrel and refit into the new cap. make sure when you pull out the barrel the key is in it twisted if possible.. Its the ratchet mechanism in the cap that fails.. Put some oil in the lock also  told those idiots on that other site how to do this one
