Hi,

Im planning to rent a Fiat Punto Cabriolet this summer. Does someone know how much space there is to store bags? If we have the roof down can we store 2 large bags in it? Is there a backseat to store in?

I would bli very happy if someone can answer and If someone has a picture of a new fiat punto cab or a link. I can not find it at Fiats webpage.

I dont know anything about Fiat and especially not Punto cab so please help me. The car rental just writes Fiat Punto cabriolet.

If this is the mk 1 punto cab, then they are nice cars, I think they mainly got the 1.6 engine and the handling is pretty good too. Seats comfortable. Had one in Madeira about 8 years ago. Loved it, would still buy one today if I had any space left for spare cars.

1. Does someone know how much space there is to store bags?

The boot space is impacted by the roof coming down.

2. If we have the roof down can we store 2 large bags in it?

Define large.

3. Is there a backseat to store in?

Yes. If you want.

If you read that linked review I put at the bottom of my post, it talks about boot space although without dimensions.

Fiat haven't constructed the Punto Cabriolet ( Punto Mk1 ) since 1999 I think, at least for the UK. The new Punto Cabriolet ( Grande Punto ) isn't out yet.

From the review:

"Boot space is limited as the roof folds into it, however luggage and a mini drum kit fit into it. More conventionally a weeks shop for 2 people fits in easily. The gear box is beautifully smooth, as is the steering with PAS everything feels so effortless, having said that I have only driven 3 cars, but this surpasses all of them in all catagories. This car is extremly reliable, it has never broken down or even failed to start on cold days. When I first got this car I was expecting the road noise to be quite loud, and irritating but to my surprise it was very quiet, even with the hood down! "

On the noise with the hood down, cars are often quieter with the hood down. My Spyder is.

No.
I think it was only the Mk1 they did a cabrio for. Shame really. :(
