Hello wats happnin fellow Geeks :D? I need assistance with a problem im having with my bad bitch! what it is, i have a Punto 55s 1.1i it used to do just over a 100mph but now only does 60-76max. i think its only running on 3 cylinders hence the question Spark Plugs and HG leads? But one of my mates told me that it could be the Catalytic converter it could be clogged or chocked? I really need some advise so if you know the shznit plz reply. ohh yeah and another thing it Guzzles petrol something like £10 for 30miles @ high revs.

Ummm....if it's an ignition coil problem, and like u said, running on 3 cylinders....ur car would be vibrating like hell due to the resonance caused by running on only 3 cylinders, also, the car would be feeling rather lethargic.
Had taht same problem on my renault scenic TOO!!....lol
 
If it's really running on three cylinders fo god sakes change the leads, they've probably got damp. If you run it for long like that you will destroy the engine. Are you having problems starting btw? Sounding rough on starting up? Is it jerking when slow?

Punto hmm ? Seen them but never looked under the bonnet.
Is it fuel injected .
If so it may be an injector partially blocked,it may give you excessive fuel consumption, bad running.
Air filter,fuel filter have you checked ? may need changing.

CAT... I have had it rattle annoyingly but the engine still ran ,had one break up the engine run for min or so then stop, blocked the exhaust .
