(T) Phonic wheel alignment

Hi. Had to pay extra for a "phonic wheel alignment" after dealer changed timing belt & ECU light came on.

I'm wondering if the dealer fluffed up the phonic wheel alignment when they changed the timing belt, is it likely ? Can they get out of alignment any other way ? ... what is a phonic wheel

You can see what I'm at - I'd like to go back to the dealer and negotiate a discount/refund on the phonic wheel thing if they caused the problem themselves
