Problem with windscreen washer/wipers

Hi - has anyone had this problem? Normally when i use my windscreen washer, the wipers come on automatically to clear the windscreen. However, just went out in my car this morning and the wipers did not come on when i used the washer - i parked the car and tried again and they worked - then when i got back into car and tried again they didn't! Does anyone know if this is an expensive problem to fix and what might be the cause.

When i first got in the car, my windows were condensed and i used the wipers and then whilst they were still running i think i might have used the washer - could this have confused the car?!! All comments appreciated.

Hi - just found out that if u hold stalk for more than 3 seconds - wipers come on automatically, so no fault just my stupidity! Still this is the least of my worries - the brakes failed on a council road sweeper yesterday and it smashed into the back of my beloved car. Not happy!

Hi

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. When he told us he was hit by a road sweeper it took him months to live it down as they normally only do about 5mph.

Hope it all gets fixed, at least you know they have insurance and that you will get a loan car while it is done. Was the damage really bad ?.

Poggy
