| Fuel Consumption I have a '98 60sx, and currently get around 85 miles to £10 (85.9p)...After seeing some other posts and hearing of people getting 120 miles to £10, I was wondering if there is perhaps something wrong with my car and if anyone could suggest what it may be. I realise it might just be my heavy foot and driving style but I felt there was too much variation in the level of miles for this to be the only reason. Could it just be the age and milage of my car? Currently standing at 112,574. Yes. I know - I drive too much. Cheers

| Re: Fuel Consumption Bet they put their posts before petrol went up Seriously, can you put it in MPG or Km/l, then we can compare consumption ? We get 450 miles per tank - oops - 46 mpg from an 02 punto 1.2 8v!

| Re: Fuel Consumption At the moment on my little trip computer I am getting about 40MPG but then again I have been doing a fair few miles in the city recently. But when I go on long trips I think it goes up towards 47-50MPG

| Re: Fuel Consumption - With regards to actual fuel consumption, I have worked it out and I get 33.2 mpg. I do drive around town a fair bit, but I also drive on motorways often, I'd say it is a 60:40 split in favour of town driving. I do accept that older cars are less efficient, and everyone's driving style affects fuel consumption figures but I was just curious - To the person who suggested the air filter, I will check that and get back to you. Cheers

| Re: Fuel Consumption - I'm getting around about 45-48 mpg. with a mixture of town and country driving, not much motorway bashing and average journey probably about 10 -20 miles. 1.2 8v. all in all i'm very happy with my Punto's economy.
