(G) Dvd Player In Dash Help!!

Hi, I am new to this whole modding lark, Just bought me first car , Punto 60s 1.2, after passing me test last week.

Purchased meself a dvd player off me m8 for £15 brand new, so was well happy, bt obviously needed a screen I have now purchased a In-Dash Flip out bt didnt realise about the overhang of the heater controls on the dash and nt sure whether it is going to fit.

Im pretty sure it would fit ok if I could put the screen in place of the ashtray and then have the dvd player in the existing DIN slot. I have searched the forums for help with little luck. Has any1 put one in b4 and if so gt ne pics. Is there neother way I can include it in the car.

this is one of those find out as you go jobs. you need to make sure you have clearence where you want to mount it.
once you have done that its a case of installing the cage securly

I have seen in the past some solutions.

The first is to get a GT/Sporting/ELX centre console and put the stereo in the cubby hole, it is just about DIN sized.

The second is to "modify" the lower part of the heater vents and put it in there. It is probably better here if you don't want a stiff neck when watching films, or if you're gonna use it for SatNav.
