| Punto S 1.2 fuel consumption Hello  )I have just bought a second hand 1998 punto s 1.2 for my girlfriend. What is the average mileage for one of these on a full tank of petrol. It seems very heavy on fuel. Also, the fuel guage is moving up and down, not vibrating but moving from say half full to quarter full and back again slowly. Any ideas? Thanks in advance David

| Re: Punto S 1.2 fuel consumption JUST TO LET YOU KNOW A GOOD SERVICE AND A LONG DRIVE SHOULD GET THE FUEL CONSUMPTION BACK TO NORMAL. The fuel gauges do tend to read the wrong reading on the old puntos. Any kind of a hill will cause it to go up or down but once you get back onto a flat surface you will notice that it goes back to the way it was. It takes a little getting used to!!

| Re: Punto S 1.2 fuel consumption might be worth getting the fuel filter changed and put sum injector cleaner in it as for consumptsion i dont know on the 1.2 s have got a manual that tells you the consumption?
