This does only apply to 8v FIRE engines. The 16v will at least have valve damage if not more in case the belt snaps. Some of the other Fiat engines will suffer the same.

Re: punto question

i know i could get a late seicento but i want a large car that i feel safer in doing 30 miles to and from uni in on the M60 and A666. and in my cinq as its so icckle i just don't feel that way. A bravo/punto looks a lot more beefy and looks safer.

i mean i love my cinq and i love the seicento but i just won't feel quite as safe in them.

If it were my money again, I would get a cherished Mk1 Punto Sporting 16v on a 1999 'V' for that sort of money safe in the knowledge I was buying THE definitive Punto. Mk1 is better than Mk2, except for safety of course
