Re: punto wheel studs

Anywhere that sells and fits alloy wheels, I did the same as you a few years back, went to a local alloy wheel fitter/dealer. You should look into getting locking wheel nuts, Fiat dealers sell them for around £12 for 4 iirc.

Re: punto wheel studs

A set of new longer wheel studs cost me £20.73 from my local Fiat dealer, this was only for 12 though as my alloy wheels came supplied with 4 security studs. I believe that the longer studs are only about 6 mm longer... 25mm v 31mm iirc).

Re: punto wheel studs

I am not sure what is being said is 100% accurate.

The industry safety standard is 5 turns, if it does this then your fine.

For the sake of a few quid i don't think it's worth taking the risk of a wheel coming off at high speed.
Ask whoever you are getting the new Alloys off if they will also supply the required longer wheel studs at the same time.
