Re: 1.8 Hgt

Well that last post has put me right off getting a HGT . I want something fast(ish) All I do is country (B)road driving pretty much and want good handleing and nice acceleration high up. Don't really want a diesel although I will have to test drive one before I say no. What other decent Hot hatches are there that are Insurance Group 14 or less?!?

Re: 1.8 Hgt

Ibiza FR - 1.8T/1.9TDI
Fiesta ST
Fabia vRS
Corsa SRI
C2 VTS??

The Seat 1.8T can be tuned to 200bhp with just a remap! But I think you'll know my choice out of those

Who had a Type R

You've also got to ask yourseld is a Punto HGT really more fun than a Sporting. Sure it's faster, but I can't help but think that if my Punto had any more power, it wouldn't do corners too well at all + the fact there's a heavier engine over the wheels. Unless of course you uprated the suspension.

Re: 1.8 Hgt

Hey, I've got a Jtd.... How come I don't get a plug !!!!

Is it a good car? er, yea... I guess...

Not that quick though... But mine might have a dodgy MAF cos it doesn't go like it used to..... 5 years old and 65k on the clock

Oh and the power steering fault that called for the whole steering column to be replaced. £670 or there about at the main dealer, that was the only 'fault' it's had so far and I have owned it since it was 18 months old.

I keep toying with the idea of a re-map, because I would like to know how long it's legs really are!! but now I am at that point..... Do I want to keep it, or is it time for a change.....

Sorry

See if you can get a custom map done thats a bit tamer, say to 115bhp like the Stilo has It will change your mind about getting rid of the car and give the engine a bit of a chance aswell.

Edit -Forget that, ive just read your post properly
