Fiat Punto ECU Wiring Diagrams

I wonder if any of you nice people in this part of the forum could do me a massive favour...

Im looking to put a Punto 1242 into my 899 Cinq, and I understand that I must change the ECU to do this.

I know the Punto 1.1 94-96 has the same model of ECU but a different map to the Cinq.

The 1.2 Punto has a similar ECU (16F as opposed to 6F), and the Cinq changed from the 6F to the 16F in 1995.

Im just wondering if someone with one of the following cars could scan in the circuit diagram for their car's ECU from a haynes manual??

Cars:

Punto 1.1 95 on
Punto 1.2 all models

Cheers

Arse

Ill think of something witty....just wait and see............wait I might not.

Easier all round if you just use the ECU that came with the 1242 engine you are using. At least you know it'll work.

Yes you are right the mapping is different but it will still work. Ecu IAW 6F Does not have key code IAW 16F Does have code system so you would also need these keys

Yes, I appreciate both of those things- I need a 1242 ECU Wiring Diagram to find out how much wiring I would need to alter\ change.

Also- some people on the Cinq section have no immobilizer on a Sporting (16F ECU), and the Punto 1242 between 1994 and 1996 uses a 6F ECU so a direct swap I think??

'Ang On- so I could even use my 899cc (6F) ECU???? That would make life one hell of a lot easier.....

If a 16F ecu doesn't have keycode then that because usaully its be decoded and the code ecu ripped off, thus not recoding the fuel ecu and its always virgin.

But is there anything stopping me from using my 899cc mapped 6F ECU for the conversion?? That'd make life a lot easier as it all wired in as it is....

So I could probably do it...but it would need a bit of fooling to make it idle correctly??
