(G) doorpockets/pods

are the door pockets on a 3dr different size to the ones on a 5dr? dumb question i know but just wanted to know

yes the 5dr ones are shorter because the door is shorter.

thats what i thought now im gonna have to wait, the local scrappy has two 5drs in but no 3drs ....*sigh* oh well

are the cars 5 door with speaker pods?

think they were, was thursday just gone when i went up so maybe they have gone now, plus i cant remember lol.

another question is, will the speaker grilles supplied with new speakers fit in the space provided on the doorcards?

well in the haynes max power modding manual it shows they do, so i reckon so


if the pods do have speakers would you buy and send me them? i have been looking for months on end

yeah sure, i get paid friday so will be friday morning/sunday morning/monday when i get down there. but they had only just gone in so they should still be there!! fingers crossed anyways.

i dont have the haynes manual, im guessing you do beau? whilst your there waht size speaker they use in the manual? and does the grille go in with out modding the pocket?

the speakers are 6.5" / 16.5 cm, and in the manual there fitting pioneer speakers the grills go in fine but the speakers needed to be on a mdf template they made.

im getting components!

so they needed a plate to be made so they would fit the factory mounts or so they had enough clearance from the door ( meaning the hole for them to fit was too shallow)

it was because they were too deep, id reckon all speakers will be too deep

that is true, i know blaupunkt make 'slimline' speakers its just a shorter magnet i think
