Can't seem to find torque specification in haynes for this particular nut (piston connecting rod nut).

Thanks in advance.

I've only got Haynes for Panda/500 and eLearn for Panda. And a conflict. And Panda is newer, so recommendations may change.

Haynes do list it in the Panda manual, first torque setting in the list as "Big-end bearing cap bolts."
Haynes state 20Nm, then angle tighten another 40 degrees.
They also state not to re-use the bolts, so should be new.

eLearn for Panda 1.2 differs. It states 41Nm. No second stage tightening, and no mention of not re-using them.

You are asking about nuts. Are they nuts, or bolts?
The general rule with big-end nuts or bolts is that if they screw in easily by hand, they can be re-used, but if there is any stiffness, or tight spots, they should be renewed.

Have another look at the Haynes and see if they mention big-end.
With a bit of luck, someone with a Punto haynes or eLearn will reply soon.

does this help , it's from the porter manual IMG_2767.JPG

Thanks a ton for fast replies guys, helped me a lot, couldn't reply with dirty hands. I looked now in Haynes and I could find it, didn't know it's called like that.
Engine block and head assembled, as well as manifolds. Tomorrow will be maths day, cause I mixed valve clearance shims, pain in the a** process, timing day as well.

Thanks once again and stay good.
