Hi Guys & Gals,

Recently picked up another GT turbo, its a GT3 in yellow and its sad and needs abit of welding.
I like a good challenge and I cant see the car get stripped or go to the scrap yard in the sky that's not the way to treat a GT.
Plus the engine seems to run fine.

I have found outer sills no problem but does anyone know of any places to buy repair panels? Have checked all over the net and found outer sills and rear jacking point panels.

Question I have - are the rear jacking point panels the floor behind/under the front seats?
https://www.carbodypanels4u.co.uk/f...ck-1994-1999/rear-body-floor-repair-panel-n-s

Any help would be much appreciated. (y)

nice to see another one get saved [emoji1303]. they look like the rear section of floor up to the petrol tank , think the jacking points are where the inner sill/floor meet the outer .

Thanks mate. And yes I can't let it rott away. Plus my GT is perfect and don't need anything so it's a project that will keep me out of trouble I mean stop geting bord for while haha.

Have a mate coming over Monday to take alook at the welding needed so fingers crossed he will give me some good news and can do the jobs needed.

It's in a pretty bad shape but nothing that can't be sorted (y)

did your mate give you good news about the welding that it needs ?

Bit of an update on the Project.

I have compression tested the engine and HAPPY days all good and compression were all virtually 13psi bar cylinder 3 that was 13.8psi.

Will be ordering the outer sills next week so the welding will comense over the next few weeks/month or two.

Fingers crossed all goes well (y) and there will be another GT on the road and 2x in my collection :D

Hi Guys,

Be a while with an update and its good and bad news with Saving the GT.

How do I put it, well the saving of the GT ended up saving another GT as I managed to purchase another Yellow GT2 with 71k but it has been boy racer'd and messed about with, but over all a good working car just needs love.

So the welding has all stopped and the parts needed for the GT2 have been used which is abit sad but very useful haha.

The GT2 is now all up and running with an MOT but still needs abit of love to get it up to the standard required.

Well Fingers Crossed.

Few pics :)

Looks good [emoji1303]twin yellows , was a shame the other one couldn't be saved but at least the donor parts went on another .

Thanks Steve GT,

I haven't ruled out saving the GT3 but there is a lot more work than first though so it might happen and it might not ;) time will tell.

Will post up a few more pics once this one is all done and ready.

I wont know which one to drive then. I will have a 5 minute dilemma :bang:
