mk1 sporting 16v bhp

out of curiosity whats the bhp of a standard 1.2 16v sporting?

your looking at 90 bhp the 1.6 8v was replaced by the 1.2 16v both puming out 90bhp

The 1.6 8v was 88bhp to be acurate. And Gaz is right; the 1.2 16v in the Mk1 is 86bhp

very true,

the 1.6 8v was called a 90 and the 1.2 16v was called a 85.

a rought estimate of it power output.

remember these are fly wheel figures.

so your 'real' power figure (HP) will be more like 55-65HP.

Just thank god you don't have a VW camper, at the flywheel, with a flat 4 turbo plant lifted from a wrecked imprezza (they fit like a glove), it generated 208bhp, at the wheels, .......................98hp!!!!!!

what a joke!!! later found that just about every bearing in the transmisson was funked. Now it kicks a more healthy 165hp at the wheels.
