Hi Guys,

I would like to share a fix I came across in order help anyone who needs information for a similar problem.

Recently I had all my lights flicker once I started the engine. It never went off even though I hit on the gas pedal. I went across many forums on internet, searched in YouTube, but couldn't find the solution at all. So I was very worried after assuming if it was my ECU.

However, many forums had mentioned about a bad earth, dead cell in battery, blown fuse etc... but none of them worked for me. So I focused on the alternator and dismantled it. Then found out that it had a worn bearing in the middle. I replaced the bearing with a no. 6003 brand new bearing and assembled the alternator and fitted it back to the car and found out that the flickering problem has totally gone. Amazing indeed !

Now the car is very smooth than before. Love driving it. :)

Hope this will help you in someway !

Thanks,
Another happy Punto owner :)
