| Which Mk is Which ? Has anybody got a basic Punto history detailing when the models changed. I've owned an L reg Mk 1 and now a W reg Mk 2 . How many different Marks of Punto are there and when did the models change. Year and UK reg plate please.

| Re: Which Mk is Which ? have a look on www.carsfromitaly.com, in the Fiat section under models, there's a brief history of all the Punto's (as well as other Fiats) made. It's got picutres too! lol

| Burninator of threads! | Re: Which Mk is Which ? if you are after suspension and brake parts and you have a mk1 you are in for a field day at the autospares shop. There are loads of weird and wonderful combinations. My personal fav is mine, reg march 1998 and has sept 1998 onwards rear brakes and other bits on it. Dodgy or what?? They are actually date stamped sept 1998!!!!

| Check OK | Re: Which Mk is Which ? Production on the mk2 started in Aug- Sept '99 but mk1's were rolling out dealerships until November, mine was registered on the 31st October '99, but had its pre delivery (when it was finished being built) in mid August (according to the Booklet). Mk1 started on an L (just the hatch) then a month or two later the diesels were released and then even later the convertable. All seized in November i believe and mk2 was launched.

| Re: Which Mk is Which ? Thanks for replying, I've checked out most of the links. I love Italian cars ! . Main reason for asking was out of curiosity and also just in case i have to get any spares from a scrappy, s/h , e-bay, etc. My first punto seems such a long time ago now... just goes to show how good the styling was though as the Mk1's can still hold their own easily today, especially the ones with body coloured bumpers...
