(T) question on swapping dashboard dials...

Hi folks,
Quick question if that's ok...

Bottom line - my wife's '97 Punto Stile's speedo head (i.e. the speedometer dial on the dash) is busted and with a driving test coming up, she needs a working one ASAP... there's no time to get a new one ordered and fitted (none of the garages we rang had a new one in stock) so having contacted a Fiat garage, the guy there kindly said he'd swap the dials section of the dash in one of his 2002 Punto's with the one in our '97 Punto for the day of the test.

However, his Punto has 4 circular dials and our Punto only has 3... I think my wife told him when that there's 4 also in her car (when in fact it's only 3).... so, my question is... will the guy still be able to swap the dash dials between the cars? i.e. are the electrics compatible between them so that the "new" dash which he fits will work ok?

Any info you can help with would be great...

i thought the dials in the mk1 and mk2 are totaly different? if you need new dials, they sell whole units for approx £10 on ebay.
