Good day mate's

First of all let me introduce myself.
i am Thijmen I come from the Netherlands (so excuse me for the bad english)
and I am learning to become a Truck mechanic. Ive owned 2 mopeds before i bought a punto and that's a honda mtx ot which i still have and a derbi senda which i sold.

Both where my projects and both where a lot off fun. The only problem with mopeds is they break down and always on a work a schoolday. So i was in need for a car, only problem was i didnt have a lot of money and didnt want to pay a lot per month. so after 2 months of searching i found this

a 97 punt mk1 with almost 200.000km's (120.000 miles) on the clock and most important AN LPG INSTALLATION:worship:.

So normally in the netherlands you pay a lot of tax on a lpg car but mine is only 910 kg which means i only pay 10 euro's (8 pound 50) more in 3 months time. and with the lpg price per liter being 45 cents (0,40 pence) and gas price being 1 euro 50 (1 pound 40) its realy cheap.

Btw on the photo the car looks quite nice but it got a lot of dents and scrathes which is a shame.

So far ive done some a few things
New oil and oilfilter.
New brake pads and discs on the front
Painted the wheels red.
Got a new rear light unit (mine had a large hole in it)

But enough bullsh*t here are some pic's

at a farmers festival:

After i painted the wheels red and added some white tire marker:

But unfortunaly ive als got a few problems with the car
1: It doesnt start good, i need to give it a little bit of gas if i want to start it if you start it without gas it sounds like its starting up but than cuts short. ( i will maybe post a vid later.

2 the drivers seat is in a really bad shape does anybody know if there are seats from other models of fiat that straight fit or do i need to search for other punto seats? and also do the 2 door front panels fit a 4 door?

3 And last but not least, sometimes when i brake the pedal goes down but it feels like its not building up pressure, then i release it and it works like normal again. brake pads are good front and rear, got no leaks anywhere does anybody know another thing to check?

Its a realy nice car and i want to keep it for many years also i want to keep updating this forum post s

So cheers mate's till the next update

Don't think any other seats are a straight swap.
Don't think the 3 doors door panel fits a 5 door as the doors are physically larger.
I assume the poor starting is on petrol before you switch over to LPG? Does fuel pump prime when key is turned to ignition?

had the fuel pump out of the tank today(to check if it was priming) and now everytime i turn the key i hear it buzzing ( it didnt do that before) and its starts good again. so thank you for the help (y)

since my interior is blue im going to search for a punto cabrio mid console and the blue cabrio seats. i was hoping that the 2 door panels fitted a 4 door so i could take the cabrio panels with speakers and put them in mine.

Thats a shame, did fiat also make a four door version with door speakers?

so i went to multiple scrapyards with 4 door elx's but none of them had the panels with doorspeakers so im starting to think that either they have been changed or the dutch elx didnt have them.

also how do you guys jack up a punto without the stock jack?
there are 4 points near the rail jack points but they dont look realy strong to me

got something interesting overhere.

went on the ... dont know how you guys call it in the UK but here it is called a vermogensbank and that translates into torquebench but i dont know if thats correct but anyway here are the results.

READY FOR ACTION.

What suprised me a lot was that LPG had so much more power and that the curve keeps climbing so much when petrol just "stops' so to speak

also noticed that my master brake cilinder needs replacing so that will be the next update see you guys soon.(y)
