Lighting

This morning i was driving to work with dip beam lights on, when the dash board illumination started to flicker on and off, then i lost all dash and some exterior lights (indicators and brake lights were still working). Any ideas on what the problem could be?

Check fuses 1 and 10, could also be a dodgy connector on the dials, remove, clean, replace.
Could also be an earthing problem on the L/H kick plate earth point.
