Anyone out there know if the hole pictured in the gearbox should be there? Seems a strange place to me to put a inspection hatch. Anything could fall into the gearbox.

Usually is a rubber plug in there to stop thing falling in.

i droped handful of bolts and nuts various sizes in there, hoping nothing will happen!
