Hi all - Check engine light came on after driving over a load of lumpy ice, snow and mud which snagged a big hole in the rusty old exhaust pipe. Now the exhaust has been replaced, is there an easy way to reset the check engine light? (i.e, without a code reader, etc)?

Someone needs to get into the old-fashioned diagnostics port, check for messages and reset. If you've damaged your lambda sensor that could be the cause of the fault light.

If the fault is gone the light will go off after 3 drive cycles. if it don't go off fault is still there and you need http://www.multiecuscan.com/
