Hi I got a grinding and the noise it makes in reverse in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and slightly in 5th if I dip the clutch all noises stop, it's very hard to get in every gear. I know the clutch bearing is shoot and was wondering if that could be or if it was both? Thanks

It sounds like a straight cut gearbox with a bit of grinding in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and slightly in 5th?

Its not totally clear exactly what you mean really. grinding going into gears or a constant grindy/whiny noise once in gears...

I'm guessing you mean the latter. Generally speaking noisy gearbox that disappears when clutch depressed would indicate lay-shaft bearing (i.e,. input shaft bearing). Noises that are only present when clutch depressed usually is the release bearing which is what i think you mean by clutch bearing - a clutch has no bearing itself.
