(G) k&n replacement panel filter, punto mk1

hi,

the k&n replacement panel filters, which just replace the old one in the airbox, do they give any more power at all? well enough to notice it anyway? and do they make any noise like induction kits do? was thinking of fitting one to my sisters punto mk1, and also do you have to tell insurance? because its in the airbox? thanks for any replys, beau.

i think the only diferance is you can wash it

no real noise,no real gains IMO and itdeviates from standard spec so technically yes though its a judgement call.insurer may not even give an increase

so point less? would it be better to spend the £40 on a service? (done by me) would that give a better increase in power?

ps. last service 4/5 years ago.

yep £30 will give you new oil n filter, air filter and sparkplugs

a service will reap more benefits after that gap in service intervals

is that all they change in a standard service?

yep alough they will say they did more, cheek coolent strenth, brake fluid, top up screen wash check brakes greese door hinges n stuff

o, ok then thats good, i have loads of stuff to buy but have no money damn il have to save up, might even do service and get k&n replacement filter, dont know why, but ebay mkae them sound good lol because i want to give as much power as possible and say i just serviced it to make her think if she services it, it will be faster, lol

save it for your punto driving, lessons or insurance or new powder cluch if you get this punto off her
