code light and the sprinkle light comes lit together in my dashboard. and the engine doesn't start up at the first attempt.. it starts at the third time when I turn my ignition key and runs smooth afterwards. I have to repeat the same thing when I need to start the car again. what could be the possible reason for this ?

the code light and eml (engine management light i.e. the spraying nozzle thingy) are meant to come on with the ignition for a short while and then go out... That is totally normal if thats what its doing.

Does the either of them stay on more than a few seconds after you turn ignition on??

well, it goes off most of the time.. but sometimes it stays... in that case I switch off the ignition key and starts again.. then it works fine..

well i assume you mean the EML sometimes stays on... In which case the ecu is seeing and logging and issue. Easiest thing to do would be to read the codes - you can download most recent version of IAW-Scan (google search will find, its a free program). And then you just need to buy the cable which are not expensive.
