Technical 1600 engine bay wiring diagram for Mk1 Cabriolet

Ok a friend of mine has a 1600 mk1 cabby.

Trouble is its lost its spark and the mechanic thats working on it, has replaced the coil, but know is asking for a wiring diagram for the engine.

Good ol Haynes, doesnt cover this one, so can anyone help ?

if hes a half decent mechanic at a half decent garage he would have autodata or similar with wiring diagrams, i can get them however they would be a charge as i pay a yearly subscription which isnt cheap

The Porter Manual by Lindsay Porter has a wiring diagram for the 1.6 including Cabrio.
Has your mechanic checked the crank sensor, or the connector for the crank sensor. I found that the female side of the connector for my sensor had opened up enough to break the contact. Also check the resistance across the sensor (the male side of the connector), it should be around 530 ohms.
