Punto spark plug

got my third fiat, a w reg fiat punto 1242 8v, last week. girlfriend took it in for a service today it runs ok and everythign is good on it, except ....
something to do with number 3 spark plug being put in cross wired? the guy who serviced it said that it would be ok for another couple of years but why would someone do this and what does it mean? thanks.

he means cross threaded.basically whoever did the plug didnt catch the thread right putting in the plug.
easy to do on some cars depending on the angle.are they saying they did it or the previous person to work on it?

it was like that when it went in, apparently. take it that this causes no problem in the running of the car, as there is no apparent problems in starting, running etc. this will only become a problem when the sparks need changing?

well the problem is that the next time the plugs are changed the thread could be destroyed.meaning the plug may not screw in and/or you may not get a seal meaning poor compression.
you can get the thread re cut but i would assume its a head off job to do.

You can have it helicoiled, it can be done in situ no problem.
