| Engine management light / idle revs I have a N reg Punto 75. Periodically (3 times over a 5 mile journey) the engine management warning light comes on. It will stay on for a 20 odd seconds and then turns it'self off. Sometimes when it does this the engine idols at 2500 revs and will not budge until the management light comes on again. I have replaced the lambda sensor and this has not helped the problem. If I turn the engine off when the management light is one and re-start immediately then the light stays on for it's normal few seconds and then goes off. When the light is off and the revs are normal then the car drives fine and even with the light on it is fine. Any ideas much appreciated.

| Re: Engine management light / idle revs I would first check that the connection on the coolant sensor is o.k. They are prone, for these going and giving incorrect readings thus making the car think its cold and making it rev higher
