Alternative To Cigarette Lighter

Just a question...

I have recently ordered one of them Stereo Blue LED surrounds and a Neon Tube to be mounted in a footwell, they both have a cig adaptor meaning I can only plug one in or another, I don't want to go for a two way adaptor on the Cig lighter (Looks messy) but instead would like to wire them up to the battery or somthing

It would be ideal to have a switch that turned them on at night rather than have them always on!

Is there anything you could suggest, I would like to try and keep the wiring simple, im guessing you have to cut the adaptor off and run a wire to battery terminal and one to ground and have a switch somewhere?

I'm pretty sure it's do able but I don't know how, there is a fuse box also on the drivers side, can anything be done there?

Your help would really be appreciated

Thanks

Jamie

Yeah matey, its just a case of wiring the + to a switch, to the neon and back to the earth. Your best bet is to wire straight from the back of the cigarette lighter socket as its already fused.

Quality, thank you for your replies ;-)

The remote switch looks really good, I like the idea of flicking a button and the neons come on!

When I get the £'s I will definately buy one, I have got the head unit surround and Neon Tube on the way so running them off a remote switch would be ideal!

I just need to wire + to switch, should be pretty straight forward

Thank you, very much appreciated

Jamie
