(G) I need Some Help Lads

If i gave u the full version of whats happened u'l be readin this for a while so i'l cut to the case..
Goin to work Car breaks down, gets to garage.. gaskets blown, ask them to fix it and left it with them.
Said they had striped it Told me the head was cracked.
took the car home til i found a new head.
when i got the car to a different garage he told me there was no turbo and no manifold.
confronted the other garage and they told me they know nothin about it..
who's got enough authority to deal with this and how much is a turbo and manifold gonna be for my car..?

right you have a bit of a problem proving the garage took the turbo & manifold i would think. sorry to say

new turbo is going to be like £400 and a manifold is £££
best option is to look on ebay or puntosports for someone breaking a GT to get a turbo and manifold.puntosports is probably best to get a decent price and most of the sellers on there seem genuine

I would go to the police, as it seems like they have swapped your good head and turbo etc, with a cracked one off of a 1.4 tipo or something. Failing that send the boys round.

Yup - get ur m8s behind you, (a few large ones at least) and 'enquire' to how this cud've happened.... If the garge insists that they have no fault warn tehm about trading standards, check and DOUBLE check that you havnt got it - boot etc, then go to trading standards, but you have to have proof that you did actualy have the part before it went to the garage!

Well it's easy car was driving on way to work! Did you call out the AA or anything, they would be able to confirm the car was taken to the garage.

If the garage are being arsey I'd be tempted to kick off big time, and be a bigger arse. Prolly not the most mature approach, but it does help let of a bit of steam.

I aint letting this go.. The garage i took it to after to be put back together.. the main bloke there said that he knows the bloke who owns the garage, was his apretice?? so we had a chat and he said he would talk to him and try and make things clearer about whats happened, he's phoning me Monday
